We are currently recruiting a Secondary Mathematics Intervention Teacher to join a supportive and successful secondary school in the Newport area. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and confident educator to make a real impact by supporting students through targeted Maths intervention sessions.

The successful candidate will be required to teach Maths intervention lessons within the Maths Department.

All schemes of learning and resources will be provided.

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and empathetic person to deliver key content to our students and join a successful department within the school.

Hours: 08:20 - 15:10

Start date - September 2025

End Date - TBC

Role:

In this role, you'll deliver focused Maths intervention lessons within the school's established Mathematics Department. All schemes of work and resources will be provided, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality, engaging sessions that help pupils reach their full potential.

We are looking for a teacher who is:

• Confident and engaging

• Empathetic and supportive

• Committed to helping students close learning gaps and achieve their goals

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with a PGCE or BA in Education

• Specialism or strong background in Mathematics

• Experience delivering Maths within both the Welsh and English curriculum

• Strong classroom management and the ability to set high standards

• A creative and proactive approach to lesson planning and delivery

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
