World Mental Health Day 2025 — Supporting Wellbeing in Education

At Education Supply Pool (ESP), we know that teachers and school staff are often the first to support others while carrying their own challenges. Schools are more than learning spaces — they are communities, and your wellbeing is essential to theirs.

Why it matters

  • Crisis and uncertainty affect us all, even indirectly.

  • Schools often become safe havens for families in distress.

  • Barriers to mental health support can leave education staff stretched thin.

  • Burnout and compassion fatigue are real; and deserve care, not silence.

Our commitment

ESP believes mental health should be central to every school’s culture. We’ll continue advocating for better access to services, sharing wellbeing resources, and supporting education professionals through conversation, training, and connection.

How to mark the day

  • Hold a staff “Tea & Talk” to check in with one another.

  • Share local mental health resources and helplines.

  • Protect short breaks and encourage genuine rest.

  • Create an open space to talk about stress, boundaries, and support.

Let’s use this World Mental Health Day to remind every teacher, TA, and support worker: you deserve care too.
Together, we can build healthier, more resilient school communities.
