Claire met with Barbara Redmore, Llamau’s Corporate and Community Fundraiser, in their Cardiff facility. Llamau’s mission is to end youth homelessness and homelessness for women in Wales. At Llamau they imagine a world without homelessness and are determined to achieve it.
Barbara introduced Claire to Mark, who supervises their Learning 4 Life provision which operates across South Wales and supports young people who are furthest away from mainstream education and employment, supporting those who have been homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. This past year alone the charity have supported 176 young people, all of whom faced significant barriers to entering education, employment and training. With 120 young people starting paid placements and 84 individuals progressing in to employment, education and training.
Claire would like to thank Llamau, Barbara and Mark for showing her around the facility and taking the time to speak to her about the charity and how we can help as a business going forward. Claire said “It’s wonderful to see the impact that this charity has in the community and I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to meet with Barbara and Mark to understand further how the charity operates”.
Education Supply Pool have partnered with the charity for 2020 and look forward to helping in whatever way we can. Over the past year the charity has supported more people than ever before and we’re so happy to be partnered with a charity that helps to make such a difference.
